About Us
Primary healthcare is the first point of contact for individuals and families in a continuing healthcare process which entails the provision of accessible, comprehensive, continuing, coordinated and person-centered care in the context of family and community. It enables people to increase control over and to improve their health through health promotion, disease prevention, disease management and supportive care. In a bid to shift the emphasis of the current healthcare system and people’s mindset from treatment oriented to prevention focused, Primary Healthcare Office of the Health Bureau set up District Health Centre (DHC) in southern district to provide primary healthcare services through medical-social collaboration and public-private partnership.
